Meet Dancewright's 2025/26
Sponsored Dancers....
Keira
Vibe Studios

Dancing has been a huge part of my life for the past 10 years, and I’ve loved every moment training at my home studio Vibe Studios. I’m proud to be a member of the Senior All Star Jazz, Pom, and Lyrical troupes, and I regularly perform solos at dance competitions – each one pushing me to grow as both a performer and an artist.
I’m also thrilled to be part of the Dance Prescription Pre-Clinical Team for 2024 and 2025 – a truly fun and enriching experience that’s expanded my understanding of jazz technique and the body.
Recently, I’ve discovered a deep passion for ballet, which has led me to pursue extension classical ballet training with Classical Coaching with Claire Campbell. This has been an incredible journey, helping me refine my technique and deepen my appreciation for the art form.
Over the past few months, I’ve been navigating a growth spurt that’s challenged my strength, particularly in my hips and hamstrings. Right now, my focus is on building strength in allegro and pointe work, and working toward a higher, more sustained arabesque as well as increasing my flexibility on my left and higher extensions in devant and a la seconde.
Jacinta
Yarra Heights Dance Academy
My name is Jacinta and I am so excited for all the upcoming opportunities the Dancewright program will bring. My dancing journey started just before I turned 2 years old. Dancing has basically been with me my whole life. As I am currently on my 13th year as a dancer I have grown extremely passionate.
Throughout the years I have increased my skill levels and opportunities which bring me to where I am today. I am on my fourth year of competitive dance, being a member of the Yarra Heights performance team.
I love to get involved in many dance related activities such as previously dancing to raise money for sick kids and participating in event like the own chorry competitions and FYD Nationals.

So what IS the Sponsored Dancer Program?
The Sponsored Dancer Program is a scholarship awarded to 2 dancers per year (Starting in July). The dancers are provided with an initial assessment by me - an accredited exercise physiologist, and a home program designed to help them reach their dance goals. This program is reviewed and updated regularly in line with their progress, their changing needs and goals.

The dancers are also provided with education on anatomy, physiology, safe dance practice and other topics as appropriate to support their understanding of their bodies and the demands that dance places on them.

Sponsoring dancers helps me to achieve my goal to help young dancers become stronger, safer and more informed.
