Workshops are a great way for your students to learn more about:

Strength and conditioning methods best suited to dancers and much more!

Workshops range from 1/2 day to 2 full days, are limited in numbers, and can be tailored for specific dance school groups if required - some examples are listed below.

WORKSHOP INFORMATION
1/2 DAY WORKSHOPS
1/2 day sessions typically last for 3 hours and include both theoretical and practical components. These workshops are designed as introductory sessions and include:

Anatomy, physiology and basic biomechanics
Common dance injuries
Strategies for injury prevention
Basic strength and conditioning home program
FULL DAY WORKSHOPS
Full day workshops typically last for 6 - 7 hours including a lunch break and include both theoretical and practical components. The full day workshop allows more in-depth information on each subject.

Common dance injuries
Strategies for injury prevention
1 hour strength and conditioning session
Basic strength and conditioning home program plus 2 - 3 exercises tailored for each individual
2 DAY WORKSHOPS
2 day workshops typically last for 6 - 7 hours each day, including lunch breaks and include both theoretical and practical components. These workshops are best suited to specific groups such as individual classes or troupes from dance schools. The 2 day workshop can run over a weekend or over 2 different weeks depending on student availability. Part of these workshops can also be tailored to focus on specific topics such as feet (for pointe work), leg strength (for allegro / jumps) or posture depending on the school's requirements. Content will usually include:

Anatomy, physiology and basic biomechanics applicable to dance movements
Common dance injuries
Strategies for injury prevention
1 hour strength and conditioning session each day
Dance class each day for assessment of students strengths and weaknesses
Basic strength and conditioning home program plus exercises tailored for each individual as identified during assessment classes.
3 x focused learning sections on different areas such as core, hips, knees, feet and ankles, posture, flexibility or basic nutrition.
