Application and Program Information

Who Can Apply?

  • Any dancer aged 12 years or older

  • You must be undertaking at least 3 dance classes per week of any dance style

  • You must have, or have access to a parents Facebook and / or Instagram Page

  • You must be able to attend Dancewright’s Mooroolbark clinic at least once for an initial consultation. Other sessions may be undertaken via Telehealth.

What will I receive?

  • 1x 60 minute Initial Appointment

  • 8 x 1:1 Exercise Physiology / Coaching sessions,

  • Home exercise program reviewed every 6 - 8 weeks targeted to your injuries or weakest dance movements.

  • Any bands, balls or weights (up to 5kg) you need to complete your program at home.

  • Introduction to Strength and Conditioning Online Course.

  • 25% off any other additional sessions you choose to book.

Estimated total value of approximately $1200. 

What will be expected of me?

If successful, you will be required to:

​

  • Sign a contract for 12 months (parent / guardian if under 18 years of age) agreeing to full terms and conditions.

  • Take a Dancewright drink bottle, top or other branded merchandise provided by Dancewright to dance related practice / competitions where practical,

  • Give up to 10 x 50% off Initial Assessment vouchers to friends or family you think might need or be interested in Dancewright or other Exercise Physiology services,

  • Complete the online Strength and Conditioning Course

  • Tag Dancewright in at least 2 dance related Facebook or Instagram posts per month,

  • Be available for no more than 3 hours over the course of the year and agree to Dancewright taking and using photos of exercises for purposes or marketing or for the exercise prescription program Physitrack and / or promotional material. (Parent or Guardian must be present for these sessions and you will be advised in writing where the images will be used and for how long.) 

  • Permit Dancewright to post progress updates on their Facebook and / or Instagram pages. This may include but not be limited to before and after pictures. All images and information will be approved by yourself or a parent / guardian posting if under 18 years of age in writing before.

How will the successful applicants be chosen?

Dancewright is looking for 2 dancers who:

  • Would benefit from strength and conditioning and / or rehabilitation.

  • Show they have aspirations to further their dancing either as a career or hobby.

  • Demonstrate they have an understanding of their own dance strengths and weaknesses and how a strength and conditioning program may help them progress their dancing.

Please note that all decisions are final and feedback on unsuccessful applications may not be able to be provided due to the number of applications received.

2. Complete the application and send it back to dancewright@outlook.com with any supporting documents by 11:59pm EDST 31st May 2023.

3. You will receive confirmation that your application has been received.

​

4. You may be contacted and asked to provide further information or complete a short assessment. This is not an indication of how far your application is progressing, simply that more detail is required. 

 

5. Two applicants will be selected for the 2024/25 Sponsorship year. All applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application by email before 30 June 2024*.  Please do not contact Dancewright before this time to ask how your application is progressing, thank you.
 

*Program begins 1st July 2024 and ends 30th June 2025.
